Design Services
After initial consultation, room measurements and photos are taken for space planning/furniture placement, and functional requirements, project time-line and budget are considered, a new concept is developed and presented to you along with a cost proposal (a flat fee based on the scope of the project, so you know what to expect before we begin).
Conceptual development may include color and textile schemes, sourcing of light fixtures, art work, floor and wall coverings, plants, and custom or antique furniture. If applicable, it may also require collaboration with other professionals, consultants, or installers.
Once the concept has been approved, the re-design plan is put into action. Makers + Holm will manage all aspects of product ordering and delivery tracking, keeping the client informed every step of the way.
This design service is available in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and most surrounding areas.
Wellbeing Design for Special Needs
Safe and nurturing home environments are the cornerstone of holistic design. Makers + Holm works closely with caregivers who strive to cultivate restorative interiors for children and adults with ASD, depression, and other mood/sensory issues. By modifying color, texture, sense of closure, orientation, acoustics, and ventilation, we can set the stage for a therapeutic environment. Caring for aging parents? We work with multi-generational households to build safer spaces that are sensitive to both the autonomy and family connectivity.
Virtual Consultation
For the client unable to make time for in-person services - or the client who likes to delve into their own interior decoration for the sheer satisfaction and creative process (we get it) – whatever your circumstances are, we’re happy to work with you. Video calls in increments of 30 or 60 minutes will answer your fundamental questions and help propel your design-inspired ideas.
Construction and Renovation Projects
Need a major kitchen and bath makeover, re-configured floor plans, or custom flooring and built-ins? Makers + Holm will partner with your architect, general contractor, or full-service interior designer to add the finishing touches.
